Yuya Sumiyama won the Asia Cup in 2010, again in 2012 and is looking for a 3rd title in 2014. Sumiyama has driven a variety of cars including Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10’s and Subaru Impreza.

Ultimate goal with rally: To be APRC champion, fast and stable driver with many experience to correspond on any situation.

As his father is also experienced driver who won Japanese Dirt-trial championship many times, he started motorsport from Dirt-trial when he was 19yrs old. He won Japanese Dirt trial championship twice. When he gained second title, the late Mr. Yuji Kase who established Carrosser and was president at that time offered Sumiyama to switch to Rally. Then Sumiyama started to competing Japanese Rally Championship when he was 25-yrs old in 2002.
